Cox's Teen Forum 'Plugged-In' Takes a Look at Access to Higher Education

'Plugged-In: College Bound' Offers Insights on Life After High School Premieres Sun., Jan. 16 at 7 p.m.

CHESAPEAKE, Va., Jan. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- An audience of high school students and experts on college admissions are featured in the next episode of Cox Virginia's teen forum program "Plugged-In." Hosted by radio personality Nick Taylor, the new program "Plugged-In: College Bound" premieres January 16th on Cox 11 in Hampton Roads and Cox 9 in Roanoke. With expert assistance from the ACCESS College Foundation, local college students, and a studio audience from the AVID program at Bayside High School in Virginia Beach explore the many challenges that teens face when deciding what to do after high school including:


-- Opportunities that are available when pursuing a higher education
-- The "ins and outs" of the college application process
-- How to succeed once they get there
