TheLadders.co.uk Reaches the 500,000 Active Members' Landmark and Kicks off 2011 With Another National TV Campaign
LONDON, December 14, 2010/PRNewswire/ -- The careers site that focuses on GBP50K+ job seekers will return to the
small screen next month with a national TV campaign for a third consecutive
year.
The campaigns of 2009 and 2010 saw an increase of 300% in the
registration of job seekers. TheLadders expects that trend to continue this
year with a record number of people joining the site.
The TV campaign starting on January 4th will run for six weeks with over
8,000 spots across 30+ major terrestrial and digital channels including
Channel 4, Sky Sports and Sky News. It is sure to resonate with those who
have a new year's resolution to find a better job or ended 2010 in
unemployment.
"The start of the new year is the best time to advertise for us. It is
when professionals are the most engaged in their job search. We expect to
raise our profile even further this year and strengthen our position as the
leader in the GBP50K+ market," said Derek Pilcher, managing director.
For the first time, the mix will also include radio, with 1,000+ spots
across LBC, Talk Sport and Jazz FM, and Video on Demand (VoD), with over one
million impressions on premium websites such as 4OD and Sky. Both media will
run concurrently with the TV advertisements.
"This multi-channel campaign will increase our reach and multiply
opportunities to be heard throughout the day. With this new strategy, we
expect a higher volume of fresh CVs uploaded to TheLadders," adds Pilcher.
The site has just hit the 500,000 mark for active members and represents
the largest database for pre-screened professionals earning over GBP50K a
year.
"We estimate that about one million GBP50K+ job seekers will be actively
looking for a new position in 2011. With our current database of 500,000
expected to grow due to our Q1 media campaign, we will be able to provide
recruiters with a very comfortable reach," Pilcher concludes.
