The Minions are in Manhattan to appear in the 84th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade with teen sensation Miranda Cosgrove on Nov 25 and promote the Dec 14th DVD/Blu-ray release of Despicable Me. The animated comedy blockbuster has earned over $500 million to date worldwide at the box-office and features the voices of Steve Carell, Jason Segel, Miranda Cosgrove, Russell Brand and Julie Andrews.

In addition, the Minions will also appear on the podium at the New York Stock Exchange for the opening bell on Nov 24 and at the closing bell on Kid's Day on Nov 26.

The Affinia Manhattan hotel, the official hotel for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, is also the Home of the Minions, where the characters will be staying while in New York. The hotel lobby will feature a Minion photo wall during the week of Thanksgiving for the public to snap pictures of the minions and send to the site photos@minionmadness.com to potentially win daily and weekly prizes. The characters themselves will pose for photos on Nov 24 from Noon - 5 pm on the eve of their parade debut. Souvenir Minion beanies will be distributed while supplies last.

In addition to their scheduled appearance at the Affinia Manhattan, the Minions are also doing what thousands of visitors to the Big Apple do - sightseeing on Gray Line New York Tours, shopping at Macy's, collecting souvenirs and mingling with New Yorkers as the holiday season kicks off.
