Proceeds from December Sales to Benefit Boys and Girls Clubs of America's Fund-A-Dream Initiative
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 30, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Kenilworth Films' hit summer 'tween movie "Standing Ovation" will be released on DVD December 1, 2010, exclusively at Amazon.com just in time to "sing in" the holidays! The high-energy musical production showcases a refreshing and talented cast of triple-threat youngsters performing 20 original song and dance numbers. The feel good storyline following the ups-and-downs of young underdog entertainers reaching for and achieving their dreams is appealing to children and teens alike, making "Standing Ovation" the most rocking, family-friendly, movie musical of 2010!
In conjunction with the release of the DVD, a portion of the proceeds from the December sales of "Standing Ovation" will be donated to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America's "Fund-A-Dream" program, which provides monetary grants for young people to pursue their dreams.
"There are so many gifted young people who need to know they can reach the stars," says Kenilworth Films CEO and 'Standing Ovation' producer Diane Kirman. "The cast is proud to inspire young viewers everywhere to do just that, and now we're thrilled to fund some of those dreams through the Boys and Girls Club."
Standing Ovation is the creation of film producer Kirman, a native Philadelphian and Jersey shore resident prior to Los Angeles. Kirman always felt that southern New Jersey was the perfect place to make a film, so she set about developing a feature to showcase the wealth of talent and beauty in the area. She produced the movie along the beaches from Atlantic City to Cape May with an ensemble cast made up entirely of local actors.
In addition, the music supervisor is a famed Jerseyan himself: Sal Dupree of Dupree Performing Arts in Linwood, NJ, who trained Bianca Ryan, the million dollar winner of America's Got Talent 2006 and Mark Indelicato of ABC's hit show Ugly Betty. The film is written and directed by Stewart Raffill (The New Swiss Family Robinson). The executive producers are actor/producer/director James Brolin and Dr. William Lewis. Their mission was to produce a film about real kids made by real kids, and also to produce a movie of solid quality appealing to family values.
"Standing Ovation" can be purchased at Amazon.com for $19.95. For further information, visit www.StandingOvationMovie.com.
