Merry Christmas, Seattle! Seattle Songstress Sue Bell Rings 'Upon the Highest Bough' a Jazz of Sorts Christmas Collection - at Tula's Restaurant and Nightclub, Named as One of the Best of 100 Jazz Clubs

SEATTLE, Nov. 30, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Not to be passed up, this impressive album marks Sue Bell's third recording. This collection of Christmas songs lends itself to a mixture of jazz and classical pieces, beautifully woven together and performed, making it quickly and clearly evident to any listener that everyone involved is equipped with the chops to pull off this challenging combination flawlessly. Featured for the first time, the players that have accompanied the Seattle Songstress for over the past few years at live events are Chris Morton/Piano, Rachael Contorer/Bass, Doug Ostgard/Sax and Flute and Matt Page/Drums.

The album also introduces vocalist Marilyn Takamaru, who sings a harmonic layer to Sue's melody. The sound created by the two voices is simply exquisite and so reminiscent of something you might hear out of the classic Golden Age happening in the 1940's and 50's. Also included are special guests Michael Gray, violinist from Pearl Django, one of America's most respected and busiest hot style groups; Milo Petersen, performing with some of the world's finest entertainers and one of Seattle's favorite guitar players and first call for Jazz Alley Artists coming into town; Steve Allen, seven-time Emmy winner and Grammy nominee on acoustic guitar; and Page Smith, solo cellist for the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra and one of the region's most beloved chamber musicians.

This is an amazing recording showcasing some of Seattle's finest talent. Merry Christmas, beautiful Emerald City; this group aims to make you proud!
