Rocky Delgadillo, Former Los Angeles City Attorney, Talks to Azteca America's 'Issues: Caras y Voces' About Successes Against Gang Violence
WASHINGTON, May 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Azteca America television network is proud to feature Rocky Delgadillo, former Los Angeles City Attorney, on this week's broadcast of "Issues: Caras y Voces," hosted by veteran Latino journalist Armando Guzman.
As a two-term city attorney from 2001 until 2009, Rocky Delgadillo spearheaded important programs to reduce violence in Los Angeles.
Delgadillo specifically focused his efforts on developing programs to reduce gang-related crime, increase access to education and construct community networks to report and reduce local crime.
"One of the things that we saw was that gangs in Los Angeles saw their drug income shrinking as a percentage," he said as evidence of the effectiveness of programs during his tenure. He also spoke about the need to prosecute fraudulent financial practices.
Delgadillo is currently running for the office of California Attorney General.
"Issues: Caras y Voces" features top leaders that impact the Latino community through one-on-one interviews conducted by Armando Guzman. Covering the White House and the Capitol for almost two decades, Mr. Guzman is one of the most respected correspondents in Washington. The interview forum airs Tuesday evenings during Noticiero Azteca America, the network news broadcast of Azteca America.
