MediaRover Enhanced for Sonos Owners - Sync Multiple iTunes Libraries and Playlists

MediaRover Enhanced for Sonos Owners - Sync Multiple iTunes Libraries and Playlists

MALTA, N.Y., May 12 /PRNewswire/ -- MediaRover, an easy-to-use software program for keeping every family member's iTunes music libraries and playlists in sync, now integrates seamlessly with the Sonos multi-room music system. The new version broadcasts changes in the MediaRover library to all Sonos media players throughout the home. When Mom, Dad, or the kids add songs or create playlists in iTunes, all the Sonos devices will automatically be updated to reflect the changes.

Available now as a free trial, MediaRover automatically finds all Sonos ZonePlayers, including the newly launched S5 on the home network. When any user changes their iTunes library, all the Sonos units are automatically updated with new songs, playlists, and metadata via MediaRover.

Set-up is easy. MediaRover's user-friendly installation wizard searches the home network for Sonos players and automatically adds them to its broadcast list. Users just configure MediaRover to use their current media folder or NAS hosting the music files for Sonos. After that, changes made to any iTunes music library in the family will also be reflected on the Sonos controllers and the Sonos iPhone application.

MediaRover was designed to make it simple for a family of iTunes users to bring their multiple music libraries together. Available for both PC and Mac, MediaRover automatically collects, stores, and organizes every family member's songs and playlists in a shared folder or NAS device on your network. Add a song or create a playlist on any computer in the house, and everyone in the family gets a copy, ready to play in iTunes or sync to their iPod or iPhone.

The whole house can also benefit from the perfectionist in the family who meticulously grooms the metadata of their library so that every band name and song title is exactly correct. MediaRover registers these changes and broadcasts them to everyone else in the family, giving them the same accurate data.

Once everyone's music is collected to the centralized MediaRover shared library, it is also available for a variety of other handy purposes, such as playing the entire shared music collection to streaming devices such as Xbox 360, PS3, TiVo, media servers, and of course, Sonos.
