Children's Law Center and Creative Video of Washington Win Telly Award

WASHINGTON, May 10 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Children's Law Center today announced that its 2009 video won a Bronze Telly Award in the 'Non-Broadcast, Fund Raising' category. The video chronicling CLC's work to give at-risk children in the District of Columbia a solid foundation of family, health and education was produced pro bono by Creative Video of Washington. Stories from CLC staff, clients, supporters, and pro bono attorneys were weaved together to profile the organization's work on behalf of 1,200 children annually.

"There isn't enough time in the day to tell all of our clients' stories, but video allows a few of them to share their experiences in their own words," said Judith Sandalow, executive director of Children's Law Center. "CLC is fortunate to have a strong pro bono partner in Kirby Whyte and his team at Creative Video of Washington. They quickly grasped the importance of our work and brought it to life beautifully on screen."

The Telly Awards honor the very best video and film productions, the finest local, regional and cable television commercials and programs, and work created for the Web.

Children's Law Center is the pro bono client of Washington Women in Public Relations, a professional organization for women in the public relations field. Because of its relationship with CLC, WWPR facilitated the pro bono arrangement CLC and Creative Video.
