New programs for DIRECTV, Epson, Night Owl and ProMounts accelerate expansion into the home electronics market
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- InstallerNet, a Boston-based company that coordinates installation of consumer electronics through the largest network of independently owned mobile and home electronics installers in the United States, today announced new programs launched for DIRECTV, Epson America, Inc., Night Owl Security Products and ProMounts at the 2010 International Consumer Electronics Show.
"We're excited about these significant new residential and commercial installation programs," said Tony Frangiosa, president and CEO of InstallerNet. "Working with some of the biggest names in home electronics not only accelerates the growth of InstallerNet's business in these critical market segments but also brings the value of professional, certified installation solutions nationwide to tens of thousands of additional consumers."
For DIRECTV, InstallerNet has created a referral program for specialist retailers and custom home integrators who may not currently meet volume requirements to qualify as an authorized DIRECTV dealer. "Now, these retailers are able to recommend DIRECTV service to their customers and get compensated for the referral," stated Bill Sheehan, director of home electronics for InstallerNet. Customers receive a DIRECTV branded InstallCard, which they can use to select a DIRECTV service option, order hardware and schedule installation, either online or though InstallerNet's toll-free customer service center. "We can have the hardware delivered to the referring retailer for installation and activation, or we can manage the entire process including product delivery and installation. In that case, InstallerNet coordinates the installation with the referring retailer to manage the installation for the optimal customer experience," Sheehan added.
For Epson and ProMounts, InstallerNet will jointly develop branded installation solutions for the Epson Ensemble HD Home Cinema System, the world's first turnkey home theater audio and video projection system, and ProMounts' television and projector wall mounts to be distributed through non-installing channels. "We'll be working through the details and structure for these programs after CES," noted Sheehan. "But the concept is for InstallerNet to deliver anywhere certified installation solutions for retailers that don't provide installation service themselves, while managing and tracking the customer experience." Such solutions could include online and in-store merchandising, installation scheduling, installer training, authorized dealer recruiting and complete sales and technical support.
For Night Owl, a new security manufacturer offering DVR and camera packages that protect homes and businesses, InstallerNet will provide an InstallCard, which the company will include right in the product box, providing instant access to the InstallerNet nationwide network of certified installers. "Companies increasingly realize the value of professional installation solutions for the best customer experience, optimal product performance and personal demonstration to decrease complaints and returns," Frangiosa commented. "Like other manufacturers have done, Night Owl is even putting the InstallerNet logo on their product packaging, leveraging the InstallerNet brand to help merchandise the product."
