Cox Launches New 'Because I Live Here, Too' Campaign Focusing on Employees

CHESAPEAKE, Va., Dec. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Cox has launched a new advertising campaign that places emphasis and focus on Hampton Roads employees and their community involvement. The campaign is titled "Because I Live Here, Too."

Gary McCollum, Cox Senior Vice President and General Manager said, "It is important to us that our company proactively contributes and gives back to the communities where we are located. And on a personal level, our employees embrace this feeling too. We are so proud of the fact that our employees are involved in the community, and we want to tell our customers about it."

This marketing and community campaign is designed to highlight Cox employees and their engagement in the communities in Hampton Roads as well as to increase awareness of Cox's customer service differentiation. The campaign also reviews Cox's unique advantages, with a focus on our 2-hour service windows; same day installation of services; and its fiber based network.

The first spot in the series features Mike Woodrum, a Service Technician from Yorktown. Mike volunteers with his wife with the Multiple Sclerosis Society.

Leigh Woisard, Vice President Cox Government and Public Affairs, said, "Mike is representative of the typical Cox employee. We live in the community and we work here too. This campaign truly highlights, through our employees how Cox is working hard to fully understand and meet customers' needs." Other employees featured in the campaign include: Heather Breeden, Sales; Denise Davis, Public Affairs; Ramon Murray, Customer Care; and Kimberly Wright, Network Operations.
