Bachelorette Trista Sutter Endorses Vail Charity Fundraiser
VAIL, Colo., Dec. 8 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- TV's first Bachelorette Trista Sutter and husband Ryan have embraced the local fundraising efforts of The Vail Academy, a school giving away a $1.3 million Vail vacation home in the Vail Home Raffle. The couple enthusiastically chose to support the Vail Home Raffle because of friends who have taught at The Vail Academy, and because of the school's reputation for quality education. The raffle grand prize drawing is on December 31, 2009. Tickets may be ordered at the raffle website, www.winavailhome.com.

Trista and Ryan Sutter have resided near Vail, Colorado since they met on the first season of ABC's Bachelorette series. Ryan is a fireman for the town of Vail, and they have two children, son Max and daughter Blakesley. The family has settled comfortably into the Vail community. Their support of local charities is invaluable and much appreciated around the Colorado town.
Trista and Ryan join other celebrities promoting select home raffles across the country. Million dollar dream-home raffles have become more common in the past year, but the cost to run a successful home raffle is high, so creative marketing is required. In a growing trend, non-profits are turning to celebrities to promote their home raffles. The charities are hopeful that endorsements from well known spokespersons will boost ticket sales. Recently, former Chicago Bulls basketball star Dennis Rodman appeared with Mike Huckabee on Fox television to promote the raffle of a luxury home in Ft. Lauderdale, FL to benefit the Mission, a charity located in the Florida city. Earlier this year, comedian Kevin Nealon recorded radio announcements for a home raffle in Lake Tahoe, CA for the Boys and Girls Club. Country music artists Vince Gill and Amy Grant also supported a recent home raffle to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The Vail Academy is excited to have the support of Trista Sutter. "Endorsement by a well-known, well-liked personality helps people relate to our cause," says Mike McClinton, school board president, "Trista's support encourages her fans to participate in the Vail Home Raffle. They have an opportunity to win a great prize, and at the same time, they help an organization she cares about."
