The Miss America Organization Announces Rush Limbaugh as a National Judge for the 2010 Miss America Pageant
LINWOOD, N.J., Oct. 9 /PRNewswire/ -- The Miss America Organization (MAO) announced today that Rush Limbaugh has been named as one of the national judges for the 2010 Miss America Pageant, which will be held at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, January 30 and broadcast live on TLC.
Limbaugh will be one of a panel of seven distinguished judges that will help decide which of the 53 contestants will capture the Miss America 2010 title and serve as the Goodwill Ambassador for the Children's Miracle Network, as well as introduce the first Go Green platform for MAO.
The Rush Limbaugh Program is in its 22nd year. Starting in 1988 on 56 radio stations and 256,000 listeners, the Rush Limbaugh Program continues its streak as the most listened to radio talk show in America, with nearly 600 radio stations and an audience of 20 million.
In the 1990s, Limbaugh's fame grew beyond radio and into other media, such as publishing and television. He became a bestselling author with his books The Way Things Ought to Be (1992) and See, I Told You So (1993). From 1992 to 1996 Limbaugh hosted a half-hour television talk show.
