Lifetime Digital Launching Three New Video Series
Webisodes of Sherri, Rita Rocks and Celebrity Buzz with Tanya to be introduced on Tuesday (October 13)
NEW YORK, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Lifetime Digital, the ultimate digital source for women's entertainment, escape and play, announced today that it will launch three new video series this week on myLifetime.com -- including series based on the popular Lifetime Network series Sherri, starring Sherri Shepherd, and Rita Rocks, starring Nicole Sullivan.
The new original webisodes are part of Lifetime Digital's ongoing commitment to growing original video content online, which over the past four months has shown remarkable growth among its audience. A record 11.34 million videos -- both original content and full episode streams -- were streamed on myLifetime.com during the month of September 2009, marking a 281% increase from September 2008 (2.98 million).
The three new video series, each of which will be introduced on Tuesday, October 13, are:
-- Sherri -- each of the eight webisodes will follow Sherri to a comedy
club, where she will perform stand-up related to the theme of that
week's TV episode.
-- Rita Rocks -- the 15 webisodes will serve as a "digital diary" for
Rita Clemmens (played by Sullivan) as she documents her pregnancy.
Each webisode will be Rita's video diary entry for her baby,
attempting to put the events of that week's show into context -- in
spite of the occasional wild tangent.
-- Celebrity Buzz with Tanya -- Three times a week, comedian Tanya Scheer
(an alumnus of the famed L.A.-based comedy troupe the Groundlings)
will give her unique take on all she finds interesting in the latest
celebrity news, often by interviewing the celebrity herself.
In addition to the three new video series, myLifetime.com will also continue to stream episodes of both Sherri and Rita Rocks following their first runs on Lifetime Network each week.
