WFN: World Fishing Network Casts a Wide Net in Colorado
Network Opens Colorado Production Office and Supports Rocky Mountain Angling Events and Conservation Initiatives
DENVER, Aug. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- WFN: World Fishing Network, North America's only 24-hour fishing lifestyle network, announced today an aggressive approach to cover fishing in the Rocky Mountains through a multi-faceted marketing and programming effort. The outreach includes the opening of a production office in Denver, a partnership with Colorado Trout Unlimited (CTU), media partnerships, consumer promotions and the sponsorship of local fishing events.
"The WFN Colorado bureau and these partnerships serve the specific needs of passionate anglers throughout Colorado," said Mark Rubinstein, President, WFN. "Fly fishing in the Colorado River is a unique experience and quite different from bass fishing in Texas or fishing for walleye in Michigan. As the only cable network dedicated 24/7 to fishing, it is important for our programming to reflect these differences. These relationships ensure that we have unmatched access to the best news and fish tales in the Rockies."
In association with Cazador Media of Denver, WFN's Colorado bureau will serve as the network's first regional production office to expand its coverage of fishing in the Rocky Mountains. WFN Colorado has its fingers on the pulse of fishing in the Rockies to facilitate local and regional coverage of many Colorado-based fishing activities and conservation issues. The regional bureau is the first of several to be opened by WFN.
The network's partnership with CTU allows WFN to support their efforts to promote numerous on-the-ground projects and legislative initiatives aimed at conserving, protecting and restoring Colorado's trout fisheries and watersheds. CTU includes 20 chapters across Colorado and 10,000 members volunteering 45,000 hours annually.
WFN recently sponsored the South Platte Pro-Am Carp Slam fly fishing tournament -- hosted by Denver Trout Unlimited and the "My Favorite Fishing Photo" contest with Fishexplorer.com and Sportsman's Warehouse.
