Salsa Madness! People of All Ages are Flocking to SALSA LOVERS' 8th Annual Miami Salsa Congress to Dance Their Troubles Away and Get an Exhilarating Workout

MIAMI, July 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Twenty years ago, when Americans heard the word "salsa" most thought of spicy Mexican sauce. These days, it conjures up images of turns, floating hips, hot Latin music, and the sensual embrace of a dance partner. Dancing the night away at the 8th Annual Miami Salsa Congress is how hundreds are discovering the pleasures of salsa. The Salsa Congress is the Largest Dance and Music Festival in South Florida.

Latin beats tempt you? Then the 2009 Miami Salsa Congress is the place. Don't feel shy about plunging onto the dance floor and moving those hips. Perhaps you're intimidated by dancing with a partner. Or you're convinced that you could never master the dance's rolling moves. Check out the 8th Annual 2009 Miami Salsa Congress workshops held on Friday and Saturday, August 1st and 2nd. Attendees can take beginner classes to learn basic steps, improve on the skills with an intermediate class or add a new kind of dance such as Mambo or Casino Rueda. At the Miami Salsa Congress you can become a dancer that will have the confidence to step on to the dance floor while getting a workout at the same time.

Most people hate going to the gym or working out, salsa dancing can be a fun and exhilarating alterative -- as well as a great aerobic workout. Even the American Heart Association and the Centers for Disease Control have recommended dancing to stay in shape or shed extra pounds.

For five days, Miami Salsa Congress event goers will experience over 80 live spectacular showcases, dance to the music of some of the hottest Salsa disc jockeys & Live Bands in the industry and take dance workshops with the best instructors from around the world. The event takes place from July 29th through August 2nd at the Miami Beach Resort & Spa, 4833 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, Florida.

The Miami Salsa Congress was created in 2002 to give all Salsa aficionados a chance to experience the Latin culture of music and dance under one roof.
