Arizona's AM 1230 KOY to be Broadcast from SCAN Health Plan Studios
Newly formed partnership between AM 1230 KOY and SCAN Health Plan Arizona to consistently deliver vital health-related messages to area seniors
PHOENIX, July 6 /PRNewswire/ -- SCAN Health Plan of Arizona has announced that AM 1230 KOY will begin broadcasting from SCAN Health Plan Studios today. This partnership allows SCAN Health Plan to regularly share its health-related messages with area seniors through weekly interviews and weekend shows.
SCAN also will serve as a co-sponsor to KOY community events, such as the Gila River Casino Club 55+. This initiative is part of the nonprofit health plan's ongoing commitment to improving the lives of seniors by providing valuable insight that helps them remain healthy and independent.
"AM 1230 KOY and host Danny Davis share our passion for helping seniors live healthier, more satisfying lives," said Tom Lescault, president of SCAN Health Plan Arizona. "Through this partnership, we will be able to consistently share some very important messages."
SCAN's partnership with KOY is the latest in a growing series of community-outreach initiatives by the health plan. Last month more than 114 SCAN employees and families participated in the Arthritis Walk at the Phoenix Zoo to raise funds for the Arthritis Foundation. The November opening of the SCAN Resource Center provided a place for local seniors to attend programs and classes, often in partnership with local agencies, on a multitude of healthcare issues.
"Clear Channel Phoenix Radio and KOY have selected SCAN Health Plan Arizona as our partner because of the 'perfect fit.' We have found that SCAN's standards, when it comes to quality customer service, are tops in the industry," said Tom Duran, general sales manager for KOY. "The betterment of Arizona's active adult community is the primary focus of both KOY and SCAN. We feel this synergistic partnership and the shared studio name will help to spread the goodwill of both parties."
For more than 30 years, SCAN Health Plan has been focusing on the unique needs of people with Medicare and today is the fourth-largest nonprofit Medicare Advantage Plan in the United States. The company currently serves 110,000 members in Southern California. In Arizona it offers a Medicare Advantage Plan in Maricopa County and provides long-term care services to individuals in that county who are enrolled in the state's long-term care system.
