UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., May 19 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Neuroscience is changing the face of modern warfare. "Emotionless warriors" and thought scans of detainees may not be that far in the future. What are the medical and ethical ramifications of these innovations?

Find out by watching the debut of Conversations from Penn State. This new series, hosted by veteran interviewer Patty Satalia, offers thoughtful, in-depth exchanges with a broad range of remarkable people. In many cases, their trailblazing work has advanced their field and drawn national and worldwide attention.

The season premiere will air on the Big Ten Network on Tuesday, May 19 at 5 p.m. and on Friday, May 22 at 8 a.m. The show will also air on WPSU-TV on Thursday, May 21 at 9:30 p.m.

The first show of the series tackles neuroscience and the military with Dr. Jonathan Moreno. He was part of President Barack Obama's transition team and has written extensively on bioethics. Moreno is a professor of medical ethics and the history and sociology of science at the University of Pennsylvania. This new program will air several times per month on WPSU-TV and will also air three times on the Big Ten Network.
