WHO: Jack Mackenroth, from the hit reality television series
"Project Runway," is in Chicago for the AIDS Foundation of
Chicago's (AFC) annual fashion event, Make a Statement: Design
for the Cure, representing Living Positive By Design, his
national HIV and AIDS education initiative.

WHY: Through Living Positive By Design, Jack will highlight the
importance of having a positive outlook on life while
effectively managing HIV. Jack has been HIV-positive for more
than 20 years and is one of the more than one million people
who are living with HIV and AIDS in the United States(1), many
of whom still have to deal with the stigma of having the
disease

WHEN: Interview opportunities will be available with Jack and/or a
local infectious disease specialist on Tuesday, May 5th
through Friday, May 8th, including on-site at the Make a
Statement event on Thursday, May 7th

WHERE: AIDS Foundation of Chicago's Make A Statement: Design for the
Cure
