Kimberly-Clark Awards $10,000 to Ohio School
School Wins 100,000 Bonus Box Tops Plus a Radio Disney Concert with Music Star Jordan Pruitt
NEENAH, Wis., May 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Waverly Intermediate School, located about 60 miles outside of Columbus, Ohio, was the Grand Prize winner in Kimberly-Clark's Rock Your School Sweepstakes, winning 100,000 Bonus Box Tops and an exclusive Radio Disney concert. Kimberly-Clark, makers of Cottonelle, Huggies, Kleenex and Scott branded products, presented a check for 100,000 Bonus Box Tops valued at $10,000 to Toni Holt on behalf of Waverly Intermediate School. Afterwards, the students were treated to Radio Disney's concert with an exclusive performance from Hollywood Records recording artist Jordan Pruitt.
"As a teacher's aide at Waverly Intermediate and a mother to a fourth grader enrolled at the school, I was absolutely thrilled to win Kimberly-Clark's Rock Your School Sweepstakes and entered multiple times on behalf of all three of my children," said winner Toni Holt. "My kids, their friends and all the students really enjoyed the private concert from pop singer Jordan Pruitt and our school is looking to spend the awarded funds to improve technology in the classroom."
Kimberly-Clark launched the national sweepstakes last summer with the help of Radio Disney, the No. 1 radio network for kids and families, to celebrate its partnership with Box Tops for Education, a fundraising program that helps schools with grades K through 8 earn cash by clipping Box Tops coupons from participating brands. Prior to this sweepstakes, Waverly Intermediate had earned more than $1,000 through the Box Tops for Education program.
"As more schools struggle to make ends meet, Kimberly-Clark brands remain committed to providing parents with effective tools to raise funds for their children's classrooms," said Dawn Bates, Manager of Kimberly-Clark's Consumer Promotion Marketing. "This program is a fun and exciting way for us to celebrate with one of thousands of schools across the country that benefit from Box Tops for Education."
In the last year, Kimberly-Clark's brands contributed more than $6 million to America's schools through its partnership with Box Tops for Education. Look for Box Tops on specially marked packages of participating Kimberly-Clark brands like Scott brand bath tissue, Viva brand towels and Poise brand pads.
