XM-Sirius Radio Launches New Program With L. Ron Hubbard's Stories From the Golden Age

HOLLYWOOD, Calif., April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- XM-Sirius radio has launched their new Book Radio program (XM Ch 163) entitled "Tales from the Golden Age" with the audiobook production of L. Ron Hubbard's science fiction tale The Great Secret and followed by the murder-mystery Spy Killer (now airing).

The new XM "Tales from the Golden Age" programming began airing at the beginning of April with a 5-part series consisting of an interview with senior director for the Stories from the Golden Age audiobooks, Jim Meskimen, and president Galaxy Press, John Goodwin, followed by the full airing of the science fiction story The Great Secret.

"We are very excited to be associated with XM radio," stated John Goodwin, president Galaxy Press. "Delivering the highest quality product possible has been our greatest objective with these audiobooks and we feel much validated that XM has chosen our Stories from the Golden Age audiobooks to launch their 'Tales from the Golden Age' radio show."

Since the launch last fall of the Stories from the Golden Age line of 80 books and audiobooks written by master storyteller L. Ron Hubbard in the 1930s and 40s, the audiobooks have been repeatedly acknowledged for Mr. Hubbard's ability as a storyteller as well as the quality of the productions themselves. Publishers Weekly, in their recent review of Orders is Orders, stated, "...Hubbard's stunning writing ability and creative imagination set him apart as one of the greatest literary figures of the 20th century."

The Publishers Weekly Listen Up Awards for the best audiobooks of 2008 acknowledged The Great Secret and Spy Killer with top honors in the Full Cast category, while Audiofile Magazine gave their Earphone award to The Iron Duke. And now two more audiobooks in the line have been nominated for the Audie award, the highest award bestowed on an audiobook by the Audio Publishers Association--Under the Black Ensign and Branded Outlaw.
