Time Warner Cable Reaches Multi-Year Agreement with Univision
Agreement Includes Carriage of Univision, TeleFutura and Galavision
NEW YORK, April 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Time Warner Cable (NYSE:TWC) and Univision today announced a comprehensive program carriage agreement under which Time Warner Cable has secured long term retransmission consent for carriage of Univision's owned and operated broadcast stations and distribution rights for the cable network, Galavision, and the network feeds for Univision and TeleFutura. This agreement includes, in certain markets, carriage of affiliated stations owned and operated by Entravision Communications Corporation (NYSE:EVC) and Equity Media Holdings Corporation.
In addition, Univision will partner with Time Warner Cable to deliver enhanced video services including Start Over and Look Back, as well as extensive video on demand and broadband offerings.

According to the Pew Research Center, Hispanics account for approximately 50 percent of the population growth in the U.S., and in some markets such as Los Angeles and New York, they make up between 20 and close to 50 percent of the population.
