Hey Monday To Launch First Headline Tour In June
MySpace Music To Present the 'Let's Make A Mess Tour'
Six Week Tour To Follow Their Current Arena Run In Support Of Fall Out Boy
LOS ANGELES, April 30 /PRNewswire/ -- MySpace Music and Hey Monday know how they are spending their summer vacation, and they'd love for you to join them on the "Let's Make A Mess Tour," hitting an all-ages club near you this summer.
Decaydance/Columbia Records pop-punk breakthroughs Hey Monday will headline the MySpace Music sponsored tour, which kicks off June 10 in Phoenix, AZ, and is scheduled to end in Houston, TX, July 24. The "Let's Make A Mess Tour" will be the first headlining tour for Hey Monday, who are currently on the U.S. leg of the "Believers Never Die" tour with Fall Out Boy. Hey Monday's new video, "How You Love Me Now," debuted earlier this month on MySpace Music, receiving more than 300,000 views over its 3-day premier and an approval rating of 88%. The band's MySpace Music page has registered over 16 million plays and 100,000 friends.
Led by their dynamic front woman Cassadee Pope, Hey Monday have been hailed as one of 2009's Pop Punk Rookies by MTV. The band will be prominently featured across all MTV, MTV2, mtvU, MTV Hits and MTV.com beginning mid-May. Features include video play, live performance videos from the MTV Movies and Music Festival, interviews and hosted video blocks. The multi-media support doesn't stop there, as the band has been featured in Seventeen, Entertainment Weekly, and Kerrang magazines - and Pope will also make a cameo appearance in the new "Degrassi" movie this summer on The 'N.'
Hey Monday released their debut album Hold On Tight in the fall and has steadily climbed into the top 20 on Billboard's Alternative New Artist Chart. The album is the first joint venture release between Columbia Records and Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz's Decaydance Records.
Tour dates follow, and are also available online at www.heymondaymusic.com and www.myspace.com/heymonday. Tickets for the "Let's Make A Mess" tour dates below go on sale this Saturday, May 2nd.
