Actress Sonal Shah From the Hit ABC-TV Comedy Series Scrubs will be Interviewed on Your Mental Health Talk Radio
PHILADELPHIA, April 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Actress Sonal Shah, who portrays Dr. Sunny Dey on the hit ABC-TV Comedy series Scrubs opposite Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison and veteran actor John C. McGinley, will be interviewed by Jacqueline Foreman on her top rated radio program Your Mental Health Talk Radio www.blogtalkradio.com/yourmentalhealth on Friday, April 17, 2009 at 8 PM EDT/5 PM PDT for one hour. The actress will talk about the difficulties of working for a prominent Public Relations firm and juggling her acting career.

Sonal grew up in Wheaton, Illinois and started her career as a competitive dancer. Sonal was named the Miss DuPage County Queen/Ambassador and one of DuPage's Top Twenty Students. She was honored with the Burshtan/Kiwanis Leadership Award and attended Loyola University of Chicago as a Presidential Scholar. While at Loyola, Sonal received the Weinig Travel Fellowship and graduated with a degree in Theatre and pre-medicine. At graduation, she was selected to give the keynote address.
Sonal went on to become a surefire staple in the Chicago Theatre Community having performed with The Tony Award-winning Goodman Theatre among many others. She is a founding member of Rasaka Theatre Company and supplemented her acting education at Improv Olympic Chicago, The Moscow Art Theatre School at Harvard University, and she graduated from The Second City Conservatory.
Sonal booked her first series regular role in The PTA for ABC Family and has tested for 5 pilots. She continues to work with many theatres in LA and performed in the NBC Diversity Showcase. She most recently spoke at Harvard University on the topic of South Asians in the field of entertainment and was the special guest hostess for the Chicago Foundation for Asian American Women Leadership Event.
