Stewart vs. Cramer: Viewers Say Jon Stewart Won by a Knockout after Watching Interview

- Majority of viewers believe Jon Stewart won head-to-head contest with Jim Cramer -

FLEMINGTON, N.J., March 16 /PRNewswire/ -- A new national study among 448 self-reported Democrats, Republicans and Independents revealed that the majority (74%) indicated that Jon Stewart benefited most from the interview with Jim Cramer on The Daily Show.

The study was conducted by HCD Research on March 13, to obtain viewers' perceptions of an interview that The Daily Show host, Jon Stewart conducted with Jim Cramer, host of CNBC Mad Money, last Thursday evening. To view believability curves and detailed results go to: www.mediacurves.com.

Jon Stewart's believability and sincerity scales increased slightly among viewers after watching the interview. Jim Cramer's likeability, believability and sincerity scales decreased after watching the interview.

Among the findings:

While viewing the video clip, participants indicated their levels of believability by moving their mouse from left to right on a continuum. The responses were recorded in quarter-second intervals and reported in the form of curves. The participants were also post-viewing questions.
