Sean Moriarty Resigns From Ticketmaster Entertainment

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif., March 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ticketmaster Entertainment, Inc. (NASDAQ:TKTM) today announced that Sean Moriarty, its President and the Chief Executive Officer of its Ticketmaster division, has left the company effective March 24, 2009. Mr. Moriarty has also resigned from the company's board of directors as of that date.

During Mr. Moriarty's tenure, Ticketmaster enjoyed significant growth both in the United States and abroad, and expanded the scope of its operations through acquisitions of companies including TicketsNow and Emma Entertainment, China's leading promoter of Western acts and largest ticketing agency, and strategic investments in businesses such as iLike and Echo Music.

Moriarty was an early member of the original Citysearch technology team and served Ticketmaster's predecessor, Ticketmaster Online-Citysearch, as director of Internet Systems for Citysearch. In addition, he was vice president of Internet Systems for both Citysearch and Ticketmaster.com. Moriarty became Executive Vice President of Product and Technology of Ticketmaster in 2000, and was named Chief Operating Officer in 2004. In 2005, Moriarty became President and COO, later becoming Chief Executive Officer in 2007.
