Feeling Vicious This Valentine's? Try The Top Anti-Valentine Movies From Survey by Blockbuster

Films Featuring Michael Douglas Get More Than Half of Votes

DALLAS, Feb. 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- If you've been crossed in love, a new top-10 list of Anti-Valentine Movies from a survey by Blockbuster Inc. can pair you with the perfect entertainment. From tumultuous divorce in number-one film "War of the Roses" to murderous jealousy like in "Unfaithful" and women breaking free in "Thelma & Louise," the survey results are a lover's guide of what not to do.

"If Valentine's Day is a holiday you love to hate, then this is your recommended movie list for Feb. 14," said Keith Leopard, director of film content for Blockbuster.

If you're looking for a romantic film, it appears movie lovers might want to avoid the work of actor Michael Douglas. More than half (51 percent) of survey votes went to films starring Michael Douglas, from the number-one pick "War of the Roses" to other films including "Fatal Attraction," "Basic Instinct" and "A Perfect Murder." These four films were all among the top six picks by movie fans as most unromantic.

In addition to Douglas, other celebrities ranking high in the Top 10 Anti-Valentine Movies list are:

-- Glenn Close, whose films "Fatal Attraction" and "Stepford Wives"
received close to a quarter (23 percent) of votes
-- Jude Law, whose movies "Closer" and "The Talented Mr. Ripley" garnered
10 percent of votes
-- Gwyneth Paltrow, whose characters had their hearts broken in "A
Perfect Murder" and "The Talented Mr. Ripley," won 10 percent of votes
