MTV Tr3s' Hit Show 'Quiero Mis Quinces' is Back for a Third Season of Quinceanera Fiestas
Series Features Unique Stories of Cultural Duality, Traditions and Rites of Passage
First Episode Premieres January 19 at 9 P.M. (ET/PT)
NEW YORK, Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- The MTV Tr3s audience favorite, "Quiero Mis Quinces," is back for a third season full of excitement, anticipation, nerves, temper tantrums, and everything else that comes along with planning a dream quinceanera party. These elaborate fiestas are a coming-out tradition to celebrate Latinas' unique passage into womanhood when they turn 15. The new season of "Quiero Mis Quinces" will feature many surprises for the quinceaneras, including performances by top Latino artists: Toby Love, Colby O'Donis, Omar Cruz, and La Secta. The first episode of the series will premiere on MTV Tr3s on January 19 at 9 PM ET/PT.
Featuring a culturally diverse set of girls from across the United States, this season of "Quiero Mis Quinces" introduces us to Christina, who decides to have her quinces in Mexico in order to have her grandfather attend her big day; Dinora, a perfectionist who will do anything to have the perfect quinces; Maria Camila, a ballerina who delays her party a year for her father to get cancer-free; Arlene, who throws an uncommon Goth-inspired party in Puerto Rico; Abigail and Ashley, completely opposite sisters who try not to get their fighting in the way of ruining their big day; Iliana, who does the exact opposite of what her mother suggests to avoid having a tacky, old quinces; Viridiana, who wants a Las Vegas "ShowGirl" party; and Brittney, who decides to turn her obsession for candy into her quinces theme, importing chocolate from all over the world to decorate her lavish party.
"Now in its third season, 'Quiero Mis Quinces' continues to celebrate this important rite of passage for every Latina young girl, offering a fascinating look at this unique tradition," says Lily Neumeyer, Vice President of Programming and Production, MTV Tr3s. "We are proud to be able to share these girls' stories on MTV Tr3s."
The party never stops at quinces.mtvtr3s.com, and MTV Tr3s is giving fans full access to the quinceaneras. Viewers can browse pre- and post-party photos from each of the girls, watch web exclusives and deleted scenes from each episode and participate in a quinces poll every week. Additionally, a "Create Your Own Quinceanera" game will launch on February 6, enabling users to upload their personal image onto a quinces avatar. Users will then style their custom quinceanera avatar with a dress, accessories and fantasy background or scene and upload the experience to their preferred social networks. "Quiero Mis Quinces" is executive produced by Lily Neumeyer, and Sebastian Portillo serves as supervising producer.
