Producers Guild of America in New Alliance With Plymouth Rock Studios
HOLLYWOOD, Calif., Dec. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- The Producers Guild of America has formed a strategic relationship with Massachusetts-based Plymouth Rock Studios (PRS). As part of the new two-year commitment PRS will serve as the presenting partner of the PGA's two tentpole events, the Producers Guild Awards on January 24th and the inaugural Produced By Conference to be held June 6-7.
PGA Executive Director Vance Van Petten commented, "Plymouth Rock Studios' David Kirkpatrick and Earl Lestz understand the work our members do in the industry and recognize that content in all mediums begin with the vision of the producer. We look forward to a collaboration where all involved can benefit from their commitment to the guild."
He continued, "This new partnership was particularly attractive because our membership base has grown tremendously on a national level, especially on the east coast. The new 250 acre production campus that Plymouth Rock Studios is building will be state-of-the-art and we feel will be very attractive facilities for our members and the industry at-large."
Says PRS co-founder Thom Black, "Producers work tirelessly to create the environment for great stories to find the screen. It is time to celebrate producers for their incredible accomplishments and to give them the tools necessary for telling the great stories of tomorrow."
