The concert airs as part of the "Best of HDNet Concert Series Marathon" featuring twenty-four hours of concerts beginning at 8:00 p.m. ET New Year's Eve and ending at 8:00 p.m. ET New Year's Day.
Bon Jovi was the first band to perform at the Nokia Theatre Times Square, celebrating the release of the "Have A Nice Day" album. The band's career has spanned more than twenty years with albums such as "Slippery When Wet," "New Jersey," and "Crush."
"Have A Nice Day," the band's ninth studio album, topped the charts around the world, and gave the band its career-best first week sales of over 202,000 albums.
Bon Jovi also became the first rock 'n roll band to have a number one hit on Billboard's Hot Country chart with the song, "Who Says You Can't Go Home." The song also won a Grammy Award for "Best Country Collaboration with Vocals."
The band, helmed by charismatic lead singer, Jon Bon Jovi, also features guitarist Richie Sambora, keyboardist David Bryan, and drummer Tico Torres performing their hits "You Give Love a Bad Name," "Livin' on a Prayer," "It's My Life," and "Wanted Dead or Alive" for a capacity crowd at the Nokia Theatre.
While still a theatre setting, the Nokia delivers the feel of a club because of the multiple balconies that hug the stage, allowing more patrons close to the stage than at conventional theaters.
Don't miss these legends of rock in this intimate setting! "Bon Jovi - Live from Nokia Theatre Times Square" premieres on HDNet tomorrow, December 31 at midnight ET with an encore at 3:00 a.m. ET/12:00 a.m. PT.
