Aaron Karo's 'Just Go Talk To Her' to be Released by COMEDY CENTRAL Records(R) Digitally on December 9

NEW YORK, Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Comedian/writer Aaron Karo comes to COMEDY CENTRAL Records with his debut album, "Just Go Talk To Her." The hour-long digital album will be available for download to own from iTunes, eMusic and other major download sites on December 9.

Recorded at the Comedy Connection in Faneuil Hall, MA, "Just Go Talk To Her" begins in a peculiar fashion -- New York native Aaron Karo professes his love for the Yankees and Giants until the rabid Boston crowd showers him with boos. Those boos quickly turn to raucous cheers as Karo's trademark brand of storytelling -- fast-paced personal anecdotes about drinking, dating, and debauchery -- win over even the most hardened Red Sox fans.

Karo is best known for his "Ruminations" email column, which began as a forward sent from his college dorm room and spawned a worldwide following over the next decade. But while his prowess on the page, both in his column and the subsequent series of bestselling books he authored is well-documented, "Just Go Talk to Her" is the first album to capture the phenomenon of Karo's live show as well. Whether he's divulging the secrets that all guys keep from their girlfriends or picking apart the foibles of married couples, Karo excels at taking universal experiences and turning them on their head.

After a brief detour on Wall Street, Karo began performing stand-up in 2002. Thanks to his amazing fans, he now headlines sold out shows at theaters across the country. Simon & Schuster has also published compilations of his email column in two bestselling books, "Ruminations on College Life" and "Ruminations on Twentysomething Life."

2008 was a banner year for Karo. In May, he completed his North American tour with a sold out performance at the Nokia Theatre in Times Square. In August, he launched Ruminations.com, a user-generated humor site that enables his fans to write and share their own observations for the first time. Later that month, Karo performed on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson on CBS. Karo continues to write his Ruminations column and it has now read by hundreds of thousands of people around the world. In 2009, his third book will be published by HarperCollins.

Previously released recordings by COMEDY CENTRAL Records include: Mitch Hedberg's "Do You Believe in Gosh?," Dane Cook's platinum-selling "Harmful If Swallowed" and double-platinum "Retaliation," Grammy Award-winning, "Lewis Black: The Carnegie Hall Performance," Grammy Award nominees' Steven Wright's "I Still Have A Pony" and George Lopez's "American's Mexican," Joe Rogan's "Shiny Happy Jihad", Christopher Titus's "5th Annual End Of The World Tour," Norm Macdonald's "Ridiculous," Demetri Martin's "These Are Jokes," "Jim Gaffigan: Beyond The Pale," Mike Birbiglia's "My Secret Public Journal Live," D.L.
