See the First Sunrise of 2009!

LONDON, September 24/PRNewswire/ -- Be the first in the world to see the sunrise in 2009 at the
Rhythm & Vines festival in New Zealand. Set against the beautiful backdrop of
the Waiohika Estate vineyards, Rhythm & Vines is the ultimate New Year
celebration. Taking place from 29th December to 1st January, the best local
talent will play alongside a host of top international artists, with over 120
performances across 4 stages. Confirmed artists include; Franz Ferdinand,
Shihad, The Kooks, Santogold, The Mystery Jets, Late of the Pier, The Cribs,
Jamie Liddel, Ladyhawke, Carl Cox, Digitalism, Adam Freeland and many more.

Now in its 6th year, the line-up will be it's most ambitious
to date. "We hope music lovers will be excited about the direction that
Rhythm & Vines is heading. The line-up reflects the new and diverse change
in New Zealand music and we're very proud to be promoting so much Kiwi talent
alongside a massive international line-up, never seen before in New Zealand,"
enthuses Program Director and founder, Hamish Pinkham.

Rhythm & Vines focuses on bringing fun loving people together
in one of New Zealand's most scenic and sunny locations; Waiohika Estate,
Gisborne. And the fun doesn't stop there! Rhythm & Vines will bring you a
full week of beachside action at the 'BW Campgrounds'. Located 10 mins from
the main festival site the camp will include surf competitions, volleyball
tournaments and the massively popular 'BW Bikini Jam' with a show stopping
line up of pre and post event parties. Book your accommodation online at

Launched in 2003, Rhythm & Vines was the idea of University
friends Hamish Pinkham and Tom Gibson, who wanted to organise an event for
their friends to join at one central scenic location - Gisborne. The next
step was teaming up with local Gisborne lad Andrew Witters who agreed to use
the amazing purpose-built concert amphitheatre at Waiohika Estate for their
inaugural event. Since then Rhythm & Vines has grown into a spectacular 3 day
event attracting over 16,000 people and this year it set to be the biggest
and best yet.
