Generate Premieres Second Season of Popular Webby-Award Honoree Pink: The Series

Vuze HD Video Platform to Exclusively Feature New Episodes for 24 Hours Prior to Wider Syndication Network

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Generate (http://www.generatela.com/), an independent production and management studio, today launched the second season of the Webby-nominated, Pink: The Series, a graphic novel-style dark comedy starring Natalie Raitano ("V.I.P.") as Natalie "Nate" Cross, a reluctant government assassin who, between kills, yearns for a family of her own. The first of season-two's 10 HD Webisodes premieres today exclusively on the Vuze Network, the world's most popular high-res video platform. Pink will play on Vuze's HD platform supported by powerful peer-to-peer technology. Beginning tomorrow, the series will be syndicated across other popular video portals including AOL, Blip.tv, Break, Crackle, DailyMotion, Hulu, iTunes, Joost, Metacafe, MSN, MySpace, Veoh, TheWB.com, Yahoo, YouTube and others, as well as at http://www.pinktheseries.com/.

"Pink is exactly the kind of compelling HD entertainment that comes alive on Vuze," said Gilles BianRosa, CEO of Vuze (http://www.vuze.com/). "We are extremely pleased to partner with Loud Pictures and Generate to bring each episode of Pink's eagerly-anticipated second season to the Vuze Network, and to the show's large dedicated fan base using our HD player."

"We are very excited by the direction Pink takes this season and we think the fans will be too," said Blake Calhoun of Loud Pictures, Inc. who created Pink. "Last season focused on Nate's struggle to reconcile her decision to again become a killer, or 'life-taker' as a means to realizing her fantasy of becoming a wife and mother, or 'life-giver.' This season is a true origin story; we find out exactly what made this character at 19 years-old into a professional assassin in the first place."

In its first season, Pink garnered approximately five million views to go with a Webby Award nomination and a Webby Honoree nod. Season two, "Magnum Cum Laude," finds Nate struggling to balance a complicated dating life with the demands of her high-risk, top-secret profession. Season two also introduces viewers to Nate's character as a college student through a series of flashback episodes that promise to reveal the events that eventually lead her to choose the life of a contract killer.

"Audiences have embraced this show with the same loyalty and passion as fans would for any new television series," said Jordan Levin, CEO of Generate. "In addition to rich, HD production value, Loud Pictures has established a fun genre piece that teasingly reveals the full dimension and scope of the main character's complex and layered life. The unique storytelling captured in Pink shows what the future of filmmaking can look like on the Web."

New Webisodes of Pink will premiere every Monday from September 15 through November 17 exclusively on Vuze in HD, and will then be syndicated across other platforms beginning Tuesdays. Pink: The Series is the third release from Generate's fall 2008 slate, following political satire Republicrats, which successfully premiered on MSN August 19 with over half a million views, and BET's critically-acclaimed scripted comedy Somebodies. Chocolate News, a sketch comedy series created by and starring David Alan Grier, premieres in October on Comedy Central.

Blake Calhoun, Loud Pictures and Pink screenwriter Mike Maden are jointly represented by United Talent Agency and Jared Hoffman, a partner at Generate.
