24 Hour Fitness Supports The Biggest Loser for Sixth Consecutive Season

- Season Five Winner Ali Vincent Featured in New Advertising Campaign -

SAN RAMON, Calif., Sept. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- For the first time, contestants on season six of NBC's wildly popular reality series The Biggest Loser: Families will get some help from 24 Hour Fitness while appearing on the show and after they are voted off to help them reach their goals at home.

Throughout The Biggest Loser: Families, debuting on NBC on Tuesday, September 16th at 8:00 p.m. eastern/pacific and 7:00 p.m. central/mountain, 24 Hour Fitness is sending its certified personal trainers to contestants' homes after they leave the show to provide tips and support to help them reach their ultimate weight loss goals. The national fitness chain also created an integrated marketing campaign featuring the first-ever female winner from The Biggest Loser season five, Ali Vincent.

"24 Hour Fitness has helped me change my life through fitness," said Ali Vincent. "I've been a member since 2004, and since the show finale I have made fitness a part of my lifestyle. I work out with a 24 Hour Fitness personal trainer and I take advantage of the Group X classes like my favorite, 24 Cycle. I know it is hard to take the first step, but I hope my personal story and the obstacles I have overcome will inspire others to get started on their own fitness journey."

Ali has stayed in shape since the end of season five by continuing her workouts at 24 Hour Fitness. In an effort to help this year's contestants obtain similar results, 24 Hour Fitness will provide a personal trainer to visit each contestant immediately after they are sent home from the show. The trainer will assess their food supplies and provide healthy eating tips, as well as develop a customized workout plan to help them stay on track. 24 Hour Fitness also has provided The Biggest Loser contestants with their own in-home exercise tools, including mats, stability balls, and conditioning bands.

"24 Hour Fitness is proud to continue its partnership with The Biggest Loser for the sixth consecutive season," said Tony Wells, chief marketing officer for 24 Hour Fitness. "Our personal trainer's home visits that we added this season are another great way for us to support the show's contestants. 24 Hour Fitness looks forward to helping people change their lives on and off the show, as well as inside and outside of our clubs."

Other 24 Hour Fitness-supported highlights for season six of The Biggest Loser season include:

-- During the season premiere, contestants are introduced to the bodybugg(R) calorie management system, which first debuted during season four. The bodybugg(R) has played a vital role in helping previous contestants stay on track to reach their fitness goals.

-- One episode will feature a 24 Hour Fitness personal trainer who makes a visit to one of the families at home.

-- One of the show's trainers will train contestants after a challenge at a 24 Hour Fitness club.

-- Another trainer from the show will lead an 80's-inspired group exercise class at a 24 Hour Fitness club, demonstrating the importance of varying one's workout routine.

-- During another episode, contestants visit New York City and experience a workout at the brand new 24 Hour Fitness Derek Jeter club in Manhattan.

The Biggest Loser two-hour season premiere will air on NBC on Tuesday, September 16 at 8:00 p.m. eastern/pacific and 7:00 p.m. central/mountain. The new Ali Vincent commercials for 24 Hour Fitness will premiere during this episode and can be seen online at http://www.24hourfitness.com/.
