Michigan Housing Authority Announces Release of Cable Show 'House Michigan!' Addresses Homeownership, Foreclosure Prevention
LANSING, Mich., Aug. 15 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Interim Executive Director Keith Molin of the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) announced today that the latest edition of MSHDA's new cable program, House Michigan!, will begin airing this week on cable stations throughout the state. This month's program will address foreclosure issues in Michigan as well as homeownership options and resources provided by the Authority for Michigan residents.
"This edition of House Michigan! is timely and addresses foreclosure prevention and safe, secure low-interest home mortgage loans," Molin said. "MSHDA is at the forefront with solutions, and the entire program is devoted to explaining those solutions in a way that will help people either save the American dream or get them started on the path to realizing their own dreams of homeownership."
House Michigan! is produced monthly, and programming provides practical information for Michigan residents regarding homeownership, affordable rental housing, ending homelessness and creating vibrant cities and neighborhoods.
Molin hosts the program and interviews invited guests, including MSHDA staff who administer Authority programs and outside partners who participate in MSHDA related initiatives.
House Michigan! has been released to more than 80 cable stations statewide and is expected to run multiple times throughout each month. New shows will be produced monthly. Check local listings for air dates and times.
MSHDA is a quasi-state agency that provides financial and technical assistance through public and private partnerships to create and preserve safe and decent affordable housing, engage in building vibrant cities and neighborhoods, and address homeless issues. MSHDA's loans and operating expenses are financed through the sale of tax-exempt and taxable bonds and notes to private investors, not from state tax revenues.
