VanderHart Productions Announced the Fall 2008 Release of Its New Independent Film, 'Homewrecker'

'Homewrecker' Gay Comedy Set for Fall 2008 Release

LOS ANGELES, June 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Today VanderHart Productions announced the fall 2008 release of its new independent film, "Homewrecker," a hilarious parody of Lifetime Channel's movies for women.

Adapted from the hit 2006 Los Angeles stage production of "Naked Deception," the feature-length film now in production tells the story of three happily married gay couples who fall under the seductive spell of hunky bad boy Shawn. He uses his wicked ways to create havoc as the homewrecker houseguest who won't leave until his voracious sexual appetite is sated.

Reprising his stage role, Dylan Vox stars in the title role of this witty gay comedy. Watching his antics as the charming, irresistible homewrecker is both unnerving and hilarious, right down to the guaranteed happy ending. Vox had starring roles on two cable series on the Here Channel, "Dante's Cove," and more recently, "The Lair."

The film co-stars Rebekah Kochan as Sheila, Shawn's partner in crime. Kochan starred in the gay comedy features "Eating Out" and "Eating Out Part II" as well as "Halloween Night" and "When a Killer Calls." The film also introduces newcomer Ernest Pierce as the studly resident pool boy. Returning cast members from the stage production include Peter Szeliga, who has appeared on daytime television, and Bruce Hart, who appeared in films "Coupled with Love" and "The Reckoning."

The screenplay is written and produced by Bruce Hart and Paul Vander Roest of VanderHart Productions, creators of the hit gay comedies "It Started with a Lie" and "Honey, I'm Home."

"We enjoy producing comedies that are pure entertainment for and about gay people," said Hart. "Taking this from the stage to film allows us to reach gay audiences across the country with our offbeat brand of humor."
