Star Trek's George Takei to be Among First to Get Marriage License in West Hollywood, Joining Hundreds of Other Couples Ready to Wed

LOS ANGELES, June 16 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- On the historic first day that marriage licenses will be offered to gay and lesbian couples in California, Star Trek's George Takei and his partner Brad Altman will be among the first to get their license. They will join West Hollywood City Council members and others for the opening of the facility where hundreds are expected to get a license, and where many will have a marriage ceremony, in beautifully decorated marriage cabanas, officiated by West Hollywood City Council members.

Takei, 71 and Altman, 54 have been together for 21 years.

Other couples who will get their license and/or marry include:
