NEW YORK, May 5 /PRNewswire/ -- The Reno County Sheriff's Department is tuning up their cruisers and calling it in with 8 new episodes of "RENO 911!" The half-hour comedy is created by and stars Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver and Thomas Lennon as cops on patrol in Reno, Nevada. The new episodes premiere Thursday, May 22 at 10:30 p.m.
In the debut episode, the deputies reach out to Jackie, the pickle-throwing hooker, now facing a life-threatening disease. Future episodes feature the Reno cops training a squad of policemen from Baghdad, hiring a Hollywood acting coach to teach them how to go undercover and Lt. Wiegel's estranged father returning from prison and partying at strip clubs with her co-workers. The new episodes include guest appearances by Patton Oswalt, Nick Swardson and Ron White.
"RENO 911!" is a Jersey Television production in association with COMEDY CENTRAL. This hilarious take on the traditional cop drama is a character-driven comedy with soap opera-like twists and turns.
New features on the comedycentral.com "RENO 911!" site include "pop-up"-style commentary on a selection of new "RENO" episodes, never-before-seen interviews with the "RENO 911!" cast from before the show began and weekly exclusive dispatches written by Lt. Dangle himself (Tom Lennon). The site will also feature exclusive mash-up "videos of all-time" highlights from "RENO" episodes past with the greatest hits from classic characters. Also included is a new game where the Reno police station is under attack once again from hordes of criminals. Players must erect a series of defenses that will keep back wave after wave of the worst villainy in Reno. The site also features cast and character bios, message boards, downloads, previews and highlights.
"RENO 911's!" premiere telecast was among the most successful in network history and it continues to be one of the network's most highly-rated series. "RENO 911!" gives viewers the chance to witness the men and women of the Reno Sheriff's Department at work and at play, offering a hilarious and unexpected spoof of the traditional cop reality program.
