NEW YORK, May 29 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SIRIUS Satellite Radio (NASDAQ:SIRI) announced today that it will be the exclusive satellite radio broadcaster of the 2008 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly known as Euro 2008, offering both English and Spanish-language broadcasts to listeners nationwide.

SIRIUS will broadcast every match of UEFA Euro 2008, kicking off Saturday, June 7 with live play-by-play of Switzerland v. Czech Republic at 12:00 pm ET, followed by Portugal v. Turkey at 2:45 pm ET. Euro 2008 matches will air on ESPN All Access, SIRIUS channel 121 throughout the tournament.

ESPN All Access is the new ESPN-dedicated channel airing exclusively on SIRIUS channel 121. In addition to Euro 2008 play-by-play broadcasts, the channel features the exclusive, weekly ESPN The Magazine talk show, as well as exclusive simulcasts of some of ESPN's television mainstays, including SportsCenter.

On days when two matches are played simultaneously, the second match will air live on SIRIUS channel 125. SIRIUS will also carry Spanish-language broadcasts of Euro 2008 matches on ESPN Deportes Radio, SIRIUS channel 181.

Euro 2008 will take place in Austria and Switzerland from June 7 to June 29, 2008. A total of 16 national teams -- the two host nations and 14 other qualifiers -- from around Europe participate in the tournament with the winner representing the UEFA at the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup. Euro 2008 will feature Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Turkey.
