Special Needs Alliance President Andrew Hook to Talk Special Needs Finances on Oprah and Friends Radio

TUCSON, Ariz., April 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Special Needs Alliance (SNA) President Andrew Hook will be a guest on Jean Chatzky's popular XM Satellite Radio program on Oprah and Friends Radio. Chatzky, TODAY Show Financial Editor, will interview Hook regarding the importance of long-term financial planning for the parents of children with special needs.

"Special needs planning involves more than a Special Needs Trust," says Hook, a Virginia attorney with the firm Oast & Hook. "It is a planning process to protect a person with a disability. While information can be helpful, these complex issues require a planner with extensive experience and good judgment, and I feel that is an important message to convey to a broad audience."

The interview will air April 18, 2008, on XM Radio channel 156 at 12:00 a.m., 6:00 a.m., and 11:00 a.m. (all Eastern Time).

Under Hook's leadership of the not-for-profit organization, the SNA has grown into a national voice regarding complex legal and financial issues that confront parents and guardians of individuals with special needs. Additionally, through the recent inception of the SNA Public Policy Committee, the alliance now helps to educate state and federal policy makers so that enacted legislation best represents the interests of individuals with special needs.
