Jimmy Carter, Newt Gingrich, Howard Dean and Harry Reid Heat Up 'Indecision 2008' with Appearances on 'The Daily Show with Jon Stewart'

NEW YORK, April 24 /PRNewswire/ -- As part of "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart's" ongoing "Indecision 2008" coverage of the 2008 presidential election, the show will host a former president and former Speaker of the House, along with the current Chairman of the Democratic National Committee and current Senate Majority Leader over the coming weeks. Former President Jimmy Carter (April 28), former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (April 29), Chairman of the Democratic National Committee Howard Dean (May 1) and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (May 5) will stop by "The Daily Show's" midtown Manhattan studio to sit down with Jon Stewart.

The May 5 appearance by Senator Reid (D-NV) marks the first time the Senate Majority Leader will appear on the show. Former President Carter will be making his second appearance, the first was on December 5, 2005. Former Speaker Gingrich will be on the show for the third time, having previously appeared June 10, 2003 and June 6, 2005. Chairman Dean will make his fourth appearance, previously appearing on June 23, 2005, May 15, 2006 and November 8, 2006, the day after the Democrats' historic victory in the 2006 mid-term elections.

"The Daily Show" airs Monday-Thursday at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT and repeats at 1:00 a.m. the same night and at 10:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. the following day.
