Critical Mention Launches Critical Archive for PR Professionals and Expands Its Target Market with Historical Closed Caption Search

Five Year Archive of Television Closed Caption Text Provides New Tool for PR Professionals and Opens Up the Library and Research Markets

NEW YORK, April 22 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Critical Mention Inc., the leader in global broadcast intelligence solutions, announced the launch of the Critical Archive, a historical search index of television closed caption text that dates back to the company's launch in 2003. The service is expected to fill an enormous information void for PR and Corporate Communications professionals. In addition, the archive is expected to expand the company's client base to include the Libraries at law firms, universities and government agencies, advertisers and other knowledge-workers across the enterprise.

"Public relations professionals will find this new initiative to be an invaluable asset for researching clients and their competitors current and archival media searches and other efforts," said Bruce Bobbins Executive Vice President of Dan Klores Communications a New York based public relations and integrated marketing company.

"Our global corporate clients frequently request historic information to help them and measure news coverage trends," said Dave Farrell, president of Lone Buffalo, Inc., a U.S.-based global news monitoring and research company. "This new research tool should fill a big need."

Doug DeSimone, Sr. Vice President at Critical Mention added, "The professionals within our Agency, Fortune 1000, Education, Government Agency and Non-profit client groups see us as the standard for real-time broadcast intelligence. Client feedback and market research have provided strong indication that the Critical Archive would be an important addition to our data set and at the same time expand our addressable market to include a broader spectrum of professionals conducting primary research, financial due diligence and corporate compliance initiatives. The new service will also be available to Libraries, where users expect archival search products."

Critical Archive is available as an add-on service to subscribers of Critical Mention's real-time TV and Radio search engine products, to subscribers and non-subscribers on a project basis and to the company's existing integration portal partners who can import XML-based reports allowing for further measurement and analysis as well as the scoring of sentiment and tonality.
