CarMax Reports Most Popular Vehicle Colors; Black Ranks No. 1 Car Color Choice for Shoppers on carmax.com

CarMax, Inc. the nation's largest retailer of used cars, reports the color black has topped the list as the most popular color for vehicle searches conducted on carmax.com in February. Mark Simmons, Purchasing Manager in San Diego says that he finds color choice is a very important consideration for customers when car shopping. He said he's not surprised that black tops the list. The color black looks good on nearly every make and model.

Three-Year-Old Julian Pavone, the World's Youngest Drummer, is Invited to Study at Prestigious Berklee Music School in Boston

Julian Pavone, who at two years old made headlines around the world with his talents as a drummer, has been invited to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston this summer. The invitation came from Dom Famularo, Berklee instructor/artist-in-residence, Julian's father Bernadino Pavone said that Famularo had not met Julian, now three years old, but saw the video footage of Julian playing on his website, http://www.julianpavone.com/. Famularo said that he is teaching 700 students from 20 countries and Julian would be "by far" the youngest.

Foreclosures Taking Big Toll on Cities and City Finances, NLC Reports

Nearly two-thirds of cities report that foreclosures have increased in their communities during the past year, with one-third seeing declines in city revenues as a result, according to a poll released today by the National League of Cities (NLC). The poll also found that more than half of cities saw increases in the need for temporary assistance for services such as counseling, food banks and other non-housing related issues.
