More Central Texas Customers Gain Video Choice With AT&T U-verse TV

AUSTIN, Texas, March 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- More Austin-area residents and their televisions can break free from cable. AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced that AT&T U-verse(SM) TV and Internet services are now available to more than 150,000 living units in and around the Austin area.

Since introducing U-verse TV services in Austin in November 2007, AT&T has made the service available to more Central Texas customers on an ongoing basis. U-verse TV is offered today in parts of several communities, including Austin, Cedar Park, Leander, Pflugerville, Round Rock, Sunset Valley, and West Lake Hills. There are plans to continue reaching even more customers.

Texas was the first state where AT&T U-verse services were deployed, thanks to progressive legislation passed in September 2005 by the Texas Legislature and signed by Gov. Rick Perry.
