Wavy Gravy Pours Flower Power for Twisted Wines at 2008 Zinfandel Festival

NAPA, Calif., Jan. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- '60s cultural icon, activist and Woodstock emcee Wavy Gravy tunes in, turns on and pours wine for Napa's Twisted Wines at the '60s-themed 2008 Zinfandel Advocates and Producers (ZAP) Zinfandel Festival, January 28, 2008 at Fort Mason in San Francisco.

Described by Lenny Bruce as "the perfect entertainer," Wavy Gravy has brought his signature style of hippie counterculture clowning to audiences for over four decades. His work for peace through clowning has perpetuated the utopian vision of his flower child roots.

"When we learned about ZAP's 1960s 'Love of Zin' theme, it took us about 10 seconds to think of Wavy Gravy," said John Garaventa, Member of the Twisted Crew. "It started as a joke, but when we read about Wavy Gravy's twisted clowning for peace, we wanted to be a part of it. We are delighted Wavy Gravy agreed to join the Twisted Crew to clown around and show everyone a good time at ZAP."

Wavy Gravy will appear at the Twisted Wine table at ZAP's Zinfandel Festival from 11 a.m.- 3 p.m. on Saturday, January 26 2008.
