Products on Display
Under Audiovox, you'll see the debut of the Digital Message Center -- designed to shake up the digital picture frame market, these solutions can display up to 100 pictures on the built in 512mb memory and go as high as 500 pictures with optional additional memory cards. They feature audio or audio/video-messaging capability through built-in cameras and recorders. The system has a 7-inch LCD with 16:9 aspect ratio and 480 x 234 pixels, and comes with a digital clock, LED message indicator and calendar features. New Satellite Radio lines -- the XM Direct2, XpressR, Express EZ XM Satellite Radios and the XM Mini-Tuner, are all built around portability, convenience and performance. The XM Direct2 is the first "flashable" XM satellite radio Smart Digital Adapter (SDA), allowing users to listen to 170 channels of XM Radio through their satellite ready car stereo. It is the only "flashable" SDA in the market, which means it works with any satellite ready head unit, whether from Alpine, Clarion, Eclipse, Jensen, JVC, Kenwood, Panasonic or Sony, by just flashing software. Utilizing the 2006 CEA Innovation Award Winning, XM Mini-Tuner, a portable solution that allows the user to move his or her subscription to access XM channels from the vehicle's XM or SAT ready car stereo head unit, to any XM-Ready home stereo product on the Nexus XM2go portable radio. The Company is also expanding its XM line-up with two new XM Boom Boxes.
Additional Audiovox products will include the Company's new headrest systems with dual-touch screens, new features of its popular Movies2Go mobile video line and its newest collision avoidance system with wireless features. Many other consumer electronics products will also be available.
Under Acoustic Research, you'll find Wireless Home Theatre solutions -- these high-performance wireless 5.1 wireless speaker systems come with digital wireless transmitters and receivers, a wireless Home Décor powered 10-inch subwoofer and wireless subwoofer modules. The Company will also be moving into the high-end, high-performance tabletop radio market with five brand new offerings, meshing convergence of digital technologies with AM/FM/CD/MP3/IPOD and XM capabilities. Five, new Acoustic Research headphones will be unveiled, one with noise-isolating technology; another with Triple-Band(R) technology for improved sound; two units that deliver sound wirelessly using Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz technology; and a fifth headset targeted to the performance PC user who wants a full-range of surround-sound personal audio experience while watching movies, playing music or games. And you'll also find the new Acoustic Research Wireless Music Remote which streams high fidelity stereo audio from an iPod wireless to a home audio system up to 100 feet away and new iPod TouchBase, which sends music and data to amplified 2.4 GHz digital, wireless speakers. Wireless home automation will be the central theme and high-end accessory products will be on display in full force.
Jensen, with five out of the top 10 market leading positions in mobile multimedia will look to build on its past successes with an array of products designed to give users access to all of the latest digital audio video options at their disposal. Jensen will be launching a completely revamped line-up, led by its CES Innovation Award winner, the VM9022HDN. This 6.5-inch touch screen multimedia receiver is satellite radio-ready, has navigation, HD Radio(TM) and Bluetooth, offering all of the latest digital technology and connectivity in a one-source hub. You'll find four new GPS Navigation models, building upon the success of last year's award-winning Rock-n-Road. And you'll see the Jensen NVX3000PC Anyware(TM), an ultra-mobile Windows XP personal computer with built-in portable navigation and Wi-Fi capabilities.
RCA, one of the newest additions to the Audiovox brand portfolio, will take center stage. RCA is expanding its line of affordable digital camcorders with four new models and will look to grow its market leading positions in the digital media player market with its new and improved lineup of the RCA Gem Line players. Featuring highly competitive prices and EasyRip(TM) Media Software, the latest line greatly simplifies common tasks to bring consumers the ease-of-use features they have been asking for. You'll also find new RCA branded MP3 and MP4 players and camcorders as well as a host of other audio video electronics solutions. On the accessories side, RCA will have a full spectrum of products geared towards enhancing the audio video experience. You'll find remotes, power cords, surge protectors, high quality, affordable price A/V wiring and more.
RCA, Acoustic Research and Terk will headline the Company's accessory line-up for 2008, providing consumers with all of their purchasing options. But don't forget Energizer, which is one of the newest additions to the Audiovox portfolio.
Lavelle added, "Over the past year, we have made five acquisitions that should generate sales of approximately $300-$350 million. The brands we acquired are powerful in their respective categories and well known throughout the industry. We also have a growing European business set up similar to our U.S. operations and through Heco, Magnate, Mac Audio, Oehlbach and Incaar, we're expanding our market positions and growing our product base. 2008 is shaping up to be a better and exciting year for our Company and I'm excited to be here at CES 2008 to showcase our offerings."
