Glamour Reel Moments Franchise Grows as Mag Unspools 'Reel Docs' with Tommy Hilfiger

Magazine and Designer Partner to Make Women's Dreams Come True in Documentary Films

NEW YORK, Dec. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- GLAMOUR Vice President and Publisher Bill Wackermann has announced "Glamour Reel Docs," the latest incarnation of Glamour Reel Moments, the magazine's successful short film series. This iteration of the project will take shape in documentary form and focus on three women realizing their dreams. In celebration of the launch of Tommy Hilfiger's newest fragrance, Dreaming, Glamour has teamed up with the designer to produce documentary films. Tommy will be an executive producer on the films, which will follow readers achieving their life's greatest dreams.

Similar to Glamour Reel Moments, Reel Docs promotes female storytelling and gives women in Hollywood the chance to direct as well as empowers women to make their dreams a reality. Readers will be asked in the January 2008 issue to log on to www.glamalert.com/dreamingcontest to upload a video entry of their biggest dream, anything from becoming a Hollywood stuntwoman to reuniting with a long-lost friend. Three winners will then be selected to have a documentary made by a notable female filmmaker and a Hollywood actress who will follow them as they satisfy their biggest wish.

"Glamour believes in women's dreams and what better way to venture into documentary films than with Tommy, who exemplifies that dreams really can come true," says Bill Wackermann.

The contest will be launched at a live event in New York City on December 13, with a special appearance by Tommy Hilfiger. Dreaming, Tommy Hilfiger's new fragrance launching in February 2008, is inspired by the belief that women have many desires and dreams to fulfill in life; Glamour Reel Docs provides a platform to bring these dreams to fruition. The documentaries will go into production in spring 2008, developed and produced by Freestyle, and will be released in June 2008. The final films will appear online on Glamour's website and premiere at a red-carpet event in June 2008.
