NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- After only one week of its release, multi-platinum Sugarland's "Stay" video has created an emotional connection with its viewers that has not only increased the single's iTunes sales 175%, but has also increased the duo's Enjoy The Ride album sales by almost 20%.

"The song is connecting with people in a way that is remarkable," said Luke Lewis, Chairman of UMG Nashville. "The video demonstrates a vulnerability that forces a viewer to feel. What an amazing gift."

"Stay," which was written by lead singer Jennifer Nettles, has become the number one most-viewed video on CMT.com since its debut.

"It's great to see how reactive our audience is, helping drive such significant sales in one week," stated Jay Frank, Sr. VP of Music Strategy at CMT. "I can't wait to watch this song grow further as Sugarland headlines the CMT On Tour 2007 - Change this Fall."

"Early response from radio has been OVERWHELMING!" commented John Ettinger, VP of Mercury Promotions. "Programmers have been asking for 'Stay' to be a single for a long time."

"Stay" goes to radio for adds on Monday, September 17th.

Sugarland exploded onto the country music scene in 2004 with multi- platinum selling, Twice The Speed Of Life, which gave birth to mega hits "Baby Girl" and "Something More." Their current album, perfectly titled, Enjoy the Ride has already sold over a million albums and spawned two # 1 hits, "Want To" and "Settlin'." Sugarland has received a Grammy nomination, an American Music Award (AMA) for "Breakthrough Favorite New Artist," an American Country Music (ACM) award for "New Duo/Group of the Year," two CMT Awards and four additional nominations, as well as four Country Music Association (CMA) nominations. Jennifer Nettles picked up a Grammy in 2007 for her collaboration with Bon Jovi. Just to name a few, they have performed on Good Morning America, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, the Radio Music Awards, Grammy's, CMA's, ACM's, CMT Awards, Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve special and garnered the highest-rated CMT Crossroads with Bon Jovi. Sugarland will be headlining the "CMT Tour 2007 - Change."
