Starz Entertainment Welcomes Peter Demas as Executive Director, Key Initiatives & Rachel Falleroni as Executive Director, Program and Promotion Planning and Scheduling

ENGLEWOOD, Colo., Aug. 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Starz Entertainment, LLC today announced the appointment of Peter Demas as executive director, key initiatives and Rachel Falleroni as executive director, program and promotion planning and scheduling. Both work out of the Englewood, Colo. office and report to Jonathan Shair, vice president of network operations for Starz Entertainment.

Pete Demas is responsible for providing the strategic direction for linear, on-demand, online and other platforms within the company, ensuring that all channels and channel initiatives are aligned with their brands in order to maximize viewer awareness and satisfaction levels.

Most recently, Demas served as vice president group director of production and entertainment marketing for MediaVest in New York where he acted as supervising producer of CBS' "People's Choice Awards" and oversaw scripted integrations into networking programs on behalf of brands across Proctor and Gamble as well as Masterfoods and Kraft. Additionally, Demas acted as vice president, program enterprises and executive producer, home entertainment for MTV: Music Television & VH1 where he was head of production, distribution, marketing and promotion for worldwide home video distribution.

In 2006, Demas received first place of Adweek's Buzz Awards for Scripted Television Content (Brand Integrations: M&Ms Co-Host "Entertainment Tonight") and in the same year won the Kraft Global Media Awards for the South Beach Diet interstitial programming on the Lifetime network. Additionally, Demas received honors for Best Documentary at the Houston Film Festival in 1994 where he served as supervising producer and director for the MTV News Special on the Global Drug Crisis.

Demas is a graduate of Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y. where he received his bachelor's of arts degree in broadcast communications. A native of Princeton, N.J., Demas currently resides in Denver with his wife Patricia.

In her role, Rachel Falleroni oversees the program and promotional scheduling for Starz, Starz InBlack, Starz Edge, Starz Cinema, Starz Kids & Family and Starz Comedy.

Prior to joining Starz Entertainment, Falleroni spent nearly two years at HorseTV Media Group as vice president/head of programming for The HorseTV Channel and HorseTV Access in California and was in charge of creating and implementing the programming strategy for the emerging network on both linear and broadband services while building the programming department.

Falleroni also worked for Showtime for nine years, where she began her career as manager of program scheduling. She was promoted from manager to director in 2000 after demonstrating scheduling expertise on The Movie Channel, FLIX, as well as the other multiplex channels of Showtime Networks. As director, she was responsible for developing and executing programming strategies for Showtime, and its plexes to meet competitive challenges and strengthen the brand.

Falleroni graduated summa cum laude from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, with a bachelor's of arts degree in communications. She is a member of the Hollywood Radio and Television Society, the National Association for Television Programming Executives, as well as the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

A native of Pittsburgh, Penn., Falleroni now resides in Denver, Colo.
