The contest was inspired by the new CLEAN & CLEAR(R) MORNING BURST(R) Shine Control line of products designed to give teens an energizing boost to jumpstart their day.
Thousands of Eager Teens Aspire to "Burst Into Stardom"
Entries poured in from all over the country, but it was sisters, and best friends, Jeni and Kyndi Niquette from Independence, Oregon who took the grand prize for their video, What A Drag. As winners of the CLEAN & CLEAR(R) MORNING BURST(R) "Burst Into Stardom" Contest, Jeni, 21, and Kyndi, 19, will be featured as exclusive show commentators on the season premiere of MTV's "Newport Harbor: The Real Orange County" on August 15th at 10:30pm ET/PT.
As commentators, the two girls will discuss the opening segment of the show, encourage viewers to tune into the online after show, and premiere their very own CLEAN & CLEAR(R) MORNING BURST(R) commercial based on their winning video. CLEAN & CLEAR(R) understands that teens want to be discovered, and through their "best friends get real" campaign, the brand seeks to help provide the chance for teens to enter stardom.
Sisters, Best Friends, Budding Multi-Talent
This may be the first big break for the Niquette sisters, but according to the girls, they have been preparing for this moment for most of their lives. For the last 15 years, these girls have been volunteering their acting talent by traveling with their family's non-profit performance troupe. After growing up on stage together, Jeni and Kyndi have solidified their acting skills, as well as their friendship beyond sisterhood. As friends, they offer one another help with facing the everyday issues of being a young adult.
Jeni explains, "You're worrying about your own physical appearance, and fitting in, and being accepted by your peers. And also just figuring out who you are, and not trying to conform to what everybody else thinks you are. Having a best friend, in this case, my sister, provides me with the confidence I need to help me understand who I am and where I fit in."
The Niquette sisters share a support for one another that strengthens their bond as best friends. It is clear that the Niquette sisters are unified on all fronts as they are officially set to "Burst Into Stardom."
