S.C. Philharmonic Honors S.C. BlueCross BlueShield

COLUMBIA, S.C., June 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The South Carolina Philharmonic recently named BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina as the first recipient of its Corporate Citizenship Award. The Philharmonic also honored BlueCross' Harvey L. Galloway for his volunteer leadership with the organization.

Galloway, who heads the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina Foundation and previously presided over Companion Technologies and what is now subsidiary BlueChoice(R) HealthPlan of South Carolina, won the Philharmonic's Maj. Gen. Robert B. Solomon Award. He has served on the Philharmonic board for several years, including as president during a period of transition in which the orchestra seeks its next music director.
